Clothing is basic everyday objects worn around the body, mostly for functional purpose. In most cases, clothing is composed of textiles or fabrics, but in time it’s also included clothing made from skin and other fine sheets of synthetic materials and natural objects found in and around the surroundings, commonly put together. Clothing are also made to protect our bodies from external threats or to provide comfort and to make us feel good about ourselves. We can choose the type of clothing we like to buy, based on our preferences and the climate where we live.
Clothing styles vary according to the age, gender and profession of the person wearing them. For example, there are many people who would not like to wear skirts or pants, they would rather prefer dresses. However, there are many people who like to have pants because they feel more comfortable than skirts and they are also very stylish. In some occasions, it is not possible for everyone to dress like a woman, especially for special occasions such as weddings and Halloween, or when a person needs to wear something that represents his profession or his identity. For this situation, women tend to wear skirts and dresses and men generally wear pants.
Clothing is so essential for the human race and without it nobody will be able to survive, for women and men both. Every country has its own unique style of clothing that is dictated by cultural values and beliefs. In America, a woman wears a particular type of clothing to represent her status or her class, while in Europe many people wear clothing according to their nationalities or their religion. These differences do not make the American or European clothing any less fashionable or any less comfortable, for they are still wearable and appealing for the people wearing them. Today, in each country there is at least one popular and well-known fashion designer whose clothing is worn by many people, both men and women, as a fashion statement and to make a fashion statement for themselves.
